Pre-eminent hotel and resort brand Aman has announced a new urban sanctuary: Aman Miami Beach. The development will encompass an Aman hotel, and an exclusive collection of branded residences on Miami Beach designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma.
Occupying the site of the former Versailles Hotel, the project will span across two buildings at 3425 Collins Avenue. The Collins Avenue location sits adjacent to the Faena District, a prime four-block stretch of Miami Beach which has become a revolutionary cultural neighbourhood.
Aman Miami Beach will represent Aman’s second urban location in the United States, joining Aman New York, a hotel with exclusive branded residences in Manhattan’s iconic Crown Building which open in August 2022. Aman also operates Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah.
Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman said “My strategy for Aman places continued focus on developing further urban destinations for the brand following the success of similar projects such as Aman Tokyo. Aman Miami Beach will give our guests the opportunity to connect with Aman in a culturally rich urban environment, whilst also serving as a gateway to Amanera in the Dominican Republic and Amanyara in the Turks & Caicos.”
Like Aman New York, the hotel and its residences will be run by Aman under the leadership of Vlad Doronin, and his real-estate development firm, OKO Group, the sole developer on the project. Having both entities, Aman and OKO Group, under his stable, will enable Vlad Doronin – an international real-estate developer in the realms of luxury residential, commercial and hospitality properties – to progress cohesively and develop Aman Miami Beach in his true vision.
